Oops wrong topic somehow
Sorry Muddy, did I post in the wrong place? I'm new on here so wasn't 100% sure how and where to ask... Really want to find some polybushes ...,relieved to find other searching the same solution.. even if a few years ago!

The terrafirma big bore shocks have a much larger bush than the land rover standard shocks. You're right though, the upper bracket pin is the same.
The washer holding them in is smaller than the bush and has already once popped out on us - terrible design!
After trawling lr forums, it seems others have experienced the same problem so I'm looking for a way to solve the problem if it happens again... I'm hoping for a much cheaper solution to replacing the shocks!

They came with the landy. We've contacted allmakes4x4 direct and they only have rubber bushes. Just hoping to source some polybushes as we are using it for overland travel so need to be able to replace on the road if they fail again

I replaced my pro comps with terrafirma big bore and old man emu HD springs. Plus super-pro bushes all round, ahem. Yes, expensive. The ride is completely different and totally worth the upgrade.
Hi Pedro, do you have any info on how you obtained the poly bushes for the big bore shocks? Are they the same for something else. I know this is an old post hit any advice you have would be great

Hi all,
We have a pair of terrafirma big bore shocks on our defender 130 ambulance camper conversion. After having a shock fail due to it popping off the top bush and reading that others have experienced this, ideally we would like to change to poly bushes.
I can seem to find them anywhere after a long internet trawl... Any advice? I saw in an old post someone had purchased super pro bushes forth em but I can't seem yo find ones the right size?

Thank you for your replies... As the actual suspension is ok we can't justify spending lots of pennies on replacing unfortunately! We will just have to go with replacing the rubber bushes and hoping they don't pop out whilst on the road as they need a big press to get them back in!
