  1. The reason I went for the 6speed is it because it has a slightly higher top than the 380 obviously. And it tied in with the dash conversion nicely, also the stronger clutch is a added bonus.

I'm hoping it will have a slightly broader powerband with the VNT and 2.8 injector pump. I don't know anyone who has fitted the 2.8 pump but it runs higher pressure so it should give a cleaner burn in turn being able to adjust the pump up abit dependant on what the EGT has to say about that.

  2. Hi the front differential is a 24spline rover Diff with ashlocker, the 6speed uses an adapter and the puma flywheel and clutch, which is a good move in my opinion as it has a far higher tourque rating than the 300tdi one.

Cwazy wabbit, it is a new 300tdi chassis, i decided upon using a puma rear axle case as I prefer to be able to pull the diff as a unit albeit weaker I have an ashlocker for it also and will possibly fit a heavy duty ring and pinion and have it pegged which should result in a fair diff, bulkhead wise it's puma I personally like the puma dash and I have a heater that works alongside my night heater I should have a warm defender :) I purchased a new take off puma double cab tub from foley's simply beacuse it would save me a ton of work sorting the other one and with it being double cab it has a bulkhead so I can make a nice partition for the rear of the vehicle. Also with it being a puma tub it will accept directly puma second row seats this was a must for me to have my kids in proper seats, I fitted the folding type screen hinges as I am going for a retro look I also have split csw front and second row doors to go on. All in all I want the look of early 110 but it be more usable with the tdi and other bits.
