So 5000lbs (2.2 ton) not enough? It would be for self-recovery (or recovering others!), so what pull would you suggest?

Hi folks,

 I have recently come into possession of a 'Superwinch S5000'. It's a bit tatty and needs a new rope and hook, but seems fine apart from that.

 My question is whether anyone has ever fitted these 'S series' winches to a Defender? Is it even possible, given that the drum is not central? If anyone has one of these fitted, then which bumper was used, as I see the mounting being the only restriction to fitting one?
