Did it pass?
-
I will be taking the landy from london to bournemouth for a week of work and on the way I pass the galvenisers.
So Im thinking what if I drilled off the caps off the back of the rear tub and handed them to the galvernisers on the way.
I save 50 quid in pick up/delivery service charges and can pick them up on the drive back.
Would the tub be ok without the cappings for the remaining 2 hour drive there and 2 1/2 hour drive back home? It will be static once it gets to bournemouth.
I dont think that will work cos the side panels will not bolt on properly

Hi All
I have just cut my boot floor out ready for replacement and i have seen what looks like a fuel filter like the ones you would get under the bonnet on a series
My car is a 300tdi and as far as i new there was only 1 filter under the bonnet.
My question is if it is a filter does it need replacing when doing a service?
Thanks
Darran

Hi all
Im looking for a bit of advise i have fitted 235/85/16 on my disco 1 on standard disco steel wheels but i have found they are rubbing on the radius arms.
How do i stop this?
Afriend told me u can get different wheels to fit and bring the tyres away from the arm but io have no ideas what ones will do the job.
Thanks

Dazza, I suggest you change your sig to show what LR you own, then you don't have to tell us. And some indication of where you are in the world makes a big difference to the answers you will get. Cheers, Jim
Thanks for the pointer
I am in Hampshire

Hi All
Got a bit of a weird question

Please HELP

LR used to fit 7.50 tyres on the Camel Trophy Discovery's But I don't know if they did any bodywork alterations, 235's are only slightly wider & you might get away with no body changes.
Im using these on my disco 1
Mine is standard and i find they rub on full lock on the radius arms also there is a bit of rubbing on the rear arches when doing extreme stuff but genreally they are ok

Is it carbs or EFI?

Hi All
Happy New Year to you all.
I have a 3.5 V8 in my Disco 1 and i went playing at the weekend, went through some mud but no deep puddles.
On the way home i couldnt do over 35mph or rev it above 3000rpm.
I have checked all the obvious things like leads, dizzy cap, plugs etc but cannot work it out.
A friend of mine said it could be the alternator but i have checked that and it is charging ok.
Any help or advise would be handy.
