I used a coach enamel primer & vehicle chassis gloss black paint on my galv chassis after mordant T wash application. 

you could try the http://www.buzzweld.co.uk/  range of paints look under the 'all products' in left column or contact them for more info.

Would you know any company that'd supply said bracket? I've searched the part number and can't seem to come with a name of it?

For the engine mounts, if you specify a V8 spec chassis then that will hopefully put things in the right place. Means you will need to use the later wide tunnel, and associated seatbox and floor plates though (plus propshafts) but at least things will be fairly 'standard'.

Paint wise I used Buzzweld as above, however I'm only at the chassis build up stage so can't provide any info other than it has gone on well and seems good so far. Time will tell how it lasts once on the road etc.

Would be interested to see pics of the strip down etc. as well as the rebuild as it goes forward 

I believe it's the standard chassis for a 110 (It's my Dad that's currently working at it - I'm just getting the parts etc - Should've said that)

Hi there all, 

 

First time posting here so if this is the wrong area to post in sorry in advance! 

 

So I recently started striping down my 110 Landrover Defender so I can install it onto a new galv chassis along with/hopefully a V8 engine aswell - but I've came to a few snags -

 

First snag is these brackets - 

Whats their name? I've looked everywhere and came up with nothing. 

 

- Another snag that's been eating at me is the V8 conversion, is there any kits out there for it? (For engine mounts etc) I've got the complete engine with gearbox. 

 

- One last thing, anyone recomened any paint/primer for the galv chassis? I've got the de-greaser & t-wash ready to go, just wondering what primer to go for and paint aswell!
