These instructions are brilliant; thank you for taking the trouble to create such a detailed description of the process. I have a 2008 Defender, on which access to the wiper motor is more difficult. However, one can unscrew the whole dashboard and pull it forward sufficiently to gain sufficient access (just about) to change the park switch, as described in http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic2031.html.
