  1. Having exhausted trying to search for a suitable replacement does anyone know the best place to buy some buy some of the bulb holders?
mine have quite a bit of corrosion and despite cleaning then up they still arnt giving me a consistent connection and upon searching they all seem slightly different.

it was originally a 19j land rover.

Not sure how your intending to joint the damage wires & end termination to the rubber plugs as those are moulded on by Rists the original loom makers,

Autosparks mould these connectors on as well, you maybe able to slice it open & either recover the existing end termination or find a suitable alternative end hen super glue the connectors back together, or replace both parts with a different joint.

Ive had success, thanks for your help. I remade the stop solenoid loom, cut out the affected area got some bullets and joined it all back in.
Got everything woking apart for main beam flash. Ran out of connectors to rewire my reverse light switch and diff lock warning light.

Although i know have one rear break light on constantly, although the switch is faulty (awaiting new one) so another head ache to work out!

Yes from the engine it joins the dash/main loom at bulkhead connections then into the dash/main loom to the ignition switch, the LR wiring diagram is a simplified schematic.

Sorry if im being thick, but when it joins into the main bulk heat connecter, it joins to two wires, then goes to another connector block of two wires(the burnt white one and another burnt out one) from the other side of that it joins two white wires one goes to the dash and one going to the igniton light resistor. Could the burnt black and white cable be the wire to the ignition switch?

  4. Morning all, Ive hit a bit of a road block in my project, which i knew i always would as me and wires dont get along.

    i have a 19j defender, fitted a 300tdi, and r380 gearbox(in 300 defender position)

i have an issue with some burnt out wires that i am seriously struggling to trace and diagnose how the how the stop solenoid is still getting power and why it burnt out and where it goes! Ive currently taken the whole loom out of the truck and worked through everything placing it on a board and labelling everything as tracing from the diagram.
    hopefully someone can help!
