  1. I have been contacted to see if I can help at all?

Here is a copy of an email I have received about helping a young lad trying to do part of his Duke Of Edinborough award before going into hospital for another operation,

    BUT ITS FOR THIS WEEKEND!!

    Dear Kevin,

Following our conversation about the supply of a loan off road wheelchair for a teenager who has Proximal Focal Femoral Dysplasia (PFFD), which means that he has one leg shorter than the other, I am writing with the information that you need. The young mans name is Ryan Kidger and he is an active member of 308 Air Cadets Unit. He is about to go into hospital for a 12th operation but desperately wants to complete his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award over the coming weekend, 3rd and 4th October. His team are ready and raring to go but have been let down at the last minute by the company that said they would loan him the chair that he needs. The chair has to be self propelling. Ryan will be doing the award between Colchester, Tiptree and Tolleshunt Knights. Can you help this young man achieve his ambition please?

    Kind regards

    Susan

  2. Hi need some help?

Seen a few people with a short stumpy waterproof axle breather. Where do you get them from as thinking of using them for a winch casing breather, rather than running pipe work to top of car?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  3. Just reading this with interest! & it's just my 2pence worth!!

I went with the d44 ones nearly 3 years ago now & have not regretted doing so! Their product is super strong & easy to fit. The stainless grade type material @ 5mm thick is I was told the equivalent to 13mm thick mild steel.

I was worried as I do events, that running without a diff guard was going to cause problems but when you see the videos of the punishment they can take that's what made my mind up!

Also the fact that you can remove the front half & inspect the condition of the diff inside without removing the diff was simple. Especially nice to be able to do if something has gone wrong in a muddy field!

They have had 3 years of abuse & I can honestly say I would purchase again without hesitation & have been hassle free!

Well done to all that were racing wish i could!!

Hope there was plenty of money raised for charity from those that used me to repair their tyres??? Glad to help when i was needed :i-m_so_happy:

  5. Why what's the weather like down there? It's nice here, cold but nice :0

Yesterday was bitter & cold, Had a bit of so called snow (some worse than others)!! But everything is again sodden. Which is why I was asking as I have to do a fair bit of travelling to get to Newbury & if theres not a lot of people then????

  6. Been there for the last 5 - 6 years running & have to say have always been pleased with the turn out & stuff purchased!! As already said well worth the trip!

Just a question though if the werather stays the same will it still be worth the trip????

  7. When I first changed my cam belt on the 90 I went for Landrover have to say wasn't that impressed!!!!! Had a noise not long after changing doing belt & tensioner.

Bought cambelt kit from Paddocks as was a hell of a lot cheaper than Landrover just in case anything needed?? When stripped the front down the tensioner was nackered!!

I change my cam belt yearly as a precaution as I do challenge events as well as play days, last thing I want is a broken cam belt!! For the sake of £25- £30 yearly i think its worth doing. Paddocks supply dayco belts in there kits and they come off in good condition

  8. Ive just installed td5 wiper boxes on my new bulkhead and have managed to lose one of the securing nuts, don't suppose anyone has one or the ability to suss out a part number for just the nut please? also I need the two plastic/rubber covers that slip over the spindle from the outside and hide the fixing, part number would be nice please.

    Thanks!

    Paul

If you have lost the nut? i take it you haven't fitted it yet?? Just take it to your nearest nut & bolt specialist and they will sort one there & then for you. Just fitted some new wheel boxes on my motor and they were 14mm nut from memory??

The plastic things i've seen on the bay if that helps (if the main dealer won't supply outside these outside of the wheelbox kit??)

  9. I measured it very carefully before I fitted it. It's an inch shy of the gear stick

Cool just watch your buttons when when changing gear, every now and then I used to flick something on by mistake!! Normally when offroading rather than normal driving.

I've just removed mine and fitted a comp slimline dash

  10. Yep made that mistake before! Bought B##tpart water pump & it didn't last long at all. Contacted Paddocks about said item & what a joke!!!

Return item for them to check before sending out replacement or refunding money! Not a lot of help when part needed to use car!!

Still buy small stuff from Paddocks when need to but purchase the better made stuff.

Bought water pump from Motor Parts Direct at the cost of about £80 - £90 quid and not had any problem since & that was about 3-4 years ago?

    Buy right buy once
