Cheers. Is that expensive to do?

Mine is only for second, on that stage when the gear engages. I am sure LR Stratstone have screwed me some how!

On other forums, they seem to think, a heat shield or exhaust mount?

    Regards

  2. Hi there,

New to the forum. Hope your all well.

I have a 53 reg TD4 Sport and just have a few queries really. Its my first diesel that I have owned, so not too clued up.

I bought the vehicle from Stratstone in Mayfair 14 months and has been a pleasure. It went a bit wrong when I booked in for its first service in Stratstone in Hainault. I reported a gear change issue and a basic service ( as I only did 3000 miles) and an MOT. After a few customer service issues and running out of fuel as soon as I left the premises, the FL has not been the same. Issues listed below:

1)idles at 600 rpm-----is this right? Also when driving and slowing down, you see the revs change when the gears change down, but it looks like it hits 500rpm at times. Is this normal, it does not turn off.

2)when I change gear, I. e Park to Drive, you feel the change and a hear a slight vibration noise if you have the window open

3)When turning on the FL from cold, I think you can hear a slight squeaky noise from a belt for a minute from behind the drivers front wheel. In addition, when turning the FL off, you hear that squeak again for a second. Quiet evident.

Are these listed about characteristics of the TD4? or major issues? Just worried that Stratstone have done a few things in revenge of my major complaining.

You help will be much appreciated

    Regards

    Nick
