Sunday 24th October at Yarwell. Comp starts at 10am till 4pm.

Can I just remind everyone that if you would like to compete in the finial round of the Clubmans Competition you need to have your forms into Lucy by Friday 15th October. This is to give Ben and I time to make all the punch cards and sort out the other paperwork we need to do and get it to Lucy before the competition, as we are away for the last round and the pair of us are very busy with our jobs so need some notice for once.
Thank you, Sara
-
any idea of an entry list?
i believe we are coming (entrys done & posted)
Will get one up as soon as we can.

Does the driver need to produce a MSA license also ??
Hello, yes the person (driver) or persons (driver and co-driver, if they are lucky enough to be allowed to drive) must have an MSA driving license. If you do not have one please follow the following link which takes you directly to the form you need to fill in on line. MSA UK
The license you need is a'non-race clubman', the cost is £23. Link to actual form
You are able to fill the form out on the day, but you would need to bring a passport size photo with you. However it would save a lot of time and hassle for us, if you did do it yourself before hand.
Cheers, Sara
-
Does the co driver also need to be a member ?
Everybody that is entering the compertition (so driver and co-driver) need to be a member of the club, this is so you are covered by MSA insurance.
-
Will the prize be an entry to the rain forest challenge again?
Unfortunately not this year, we will let you know prizes nearer the time.
-
Are the rules and regs that will be used decided yet? I'm guessing that they will be pretty much the same as this years series, but a heads up on any likely changes would be dead useful if you know them...
Cheers
Adrian
Hi Adrian,
As far as we are aware most of the rules and regs will be staying the same. As soon as we know of any changes we will let you know. We have got a meeting in a couple of weeks, so I will make sure it is brought up then.

Here are the results of yesterday's event. Thank you to everyone who has competed in the series and to everyone who has helped behind the scenes or on the day. Without any of you these events would not have been possible. A BIG thank you needs to go out to Lucy and Paul Bass for all thier hard work that has gone into organising the events before hand, setting them up the day before and being there at the compertition. Also to the children for being so understanding and letting their Mum and Dad dispear for 6 whole weekends!!!
If you have any photos please upload them, as we would like photos to show at the Bonfire/Fireworks party happening this Saturday. For more information see http://www.challenger4x4theclub.co.uk/

Car 14 Andrew Beck wont be there
Thanks for letting us know Andrew. Any chance you can marshal instead?
-
It was explained to me last night and when you realise it's quite simple.....
If say you finish 9th in your class one round you wont finish 9th overall on the day if other people finish with more points than you but in the other class.
Ben will be pleased to know it makes more sense to you now, as it has been a nightmare for us to sort out!! I shall have fun on Sunday working out the remainder of the scores. If anybody still doesn't understand why the overall is different from your class, please do speak to me at the weekend and I'll explain.

Don't forget that the clocks go back on Sunday morning!! This could mean four things:
* one hour extra lie in,
* one hour more to work on your landrover,
* one hour more drinking time, or,
* you could arrive an hour early for the event start!!!
You decide!!!! See you there. Saz

Thanks for the information. I've put it into the calendar now as well.

Dan/Adrian,
You were NOT the target for the day, and only received penalty points for knocking down the cane to do with the punches. However Dan, you put your foot down and knocked over the cane which had no chance of standing up. Adrian then placed the cane back into its position, and it was never knocked back into the ground properly, so in my opinion it was not secure in the ground. When the said people then passed the cane and brushed it with their vehicle, the cane fell over. I felt it was unfair to issue them with penalty points, due to the fact it was my fault that I had not knocked the cane back into the ground, thus making it secure.
However, in the rest of the competition there were two other competitors that also got issued penalty points for doing the same thing that you did to the same cane. It would be nice that if you had a problem with the scores and you did not agree with them, that you came to us first before airing your grieves in public on the forum. It is very hard to keep everything in check and there is many times where I hear about people doing things which are wrong, but because a marshal has not actually seen it I can’t do anything about it.
We try hard to get the scores done as quickly as possible on the day and they are made available at the end of the event for everyone to view.

The reason there wasnt a 480 score was that if you got a penalty within the special stage the 50 points would be taken off of your special stage score which would have left a score of 430. Not sure who came second and as it is peeing it down outside and the scores are still on the caravan I am not able to see at the mo!!! I have a feeling it may have been Jim and Philon as i know they got a couple of penalties for going through tape. Hope this makes sense.

P.S Glad you all had a good time it makes the nightmare month I have had seem worthwhile.

Yes Philon and Jim were second on the special stage for day 1. They recieved 430 points, as like Lucy said they recieved 50 penalty points for breaking the tape.

Guys really sorry about the mix up of co-driver names. You were lucky to get the results done on time on the day, as Ben said, there was a problem with the spreadsheet and it had to be sorted at the end of the competition when Ben had finished competing. We do try to do our best, but at the end of the day we are only human and we do ALL give up our time to help run and organise this event. With out Lucy, Paul, Ben, Nik, Paul M-O and myself putting the time in we do, there would be no event run. Please bear this in mind.
