I would love to turn up at my mates workshop for an M.O.T with that, think i would be asked to leave
-
PM sent Scott!

Give Micheldever tyres a ring, depends how far you want to travel? they are about 15 mins south of Newbury.
Got a good deal on 5 General grabber AT2,
But brought them off the shelf unfitted, and got a mate to put them on the rims.

Terrafirma medium 2"get my vote!
Just a quick question back, did you trim your arches with your tyres/lift kit? just got a set the same size but not yet had time to play around fitting them to see how they perform.
Cheers

Or PM me your address, and i can send you everything the guys at Land rover gave me.
It was handy to have!
-
I can let you know tomorrow! the print out is in my workshop
-
Im quite friendly with the parts chap, and a few in the workshop, they printed out all the angles for me
Good job really, as it was quite differnt to what mr Haynes was saying!
-
Here are a couple of photos of a Mini based jeep kit car thing that the old chap was building in about 1982
All from scratch.
He used a scrap cooper S for the engine and running gear,
He did get the panel work done after a few years, then it sat on a trailer in our garden for years and slowly rusted away
-
I changed my head gasket for one of the multi layered ones (genuine part) the chap in the stores said its a
"fit and forget"
Also just done one on a mates rover with the 1800cc k-series engine in it.

Very happy with the set up(Terrafirma medium) like anything though, the moment you go away from "standard" you will start getting knock on effects through the drive train,
As i said im now looking at getting cranked rear radius arms, different prop, etc.
I use mine every day for work too, so i do have to be a bit carefull with it off road, its not just a toy.
Saying that im about to go for larger tyres for off roading, so im bound to bugger something else up soon!
The joys of LR ownership!

Funny enough, im not to sure what make my doughnut was! but it was showing signs of wear about a week later!
brought it off ebay cheap! so could have well been Sh*tpart, the thing just exploded
Luckily did save the old genuine one, so its now back on untill i pick up a 200 prop and flange
-
I would be up for that!
-
What about gasket remover spray?
the stuff i use is great, (Pearson and Wilkinson)
-
Nice one! Looked like a good time was had by all, would love to have a look, (drive) around the caves

Yes, i got the full 2"
But now i need to do the trailing arms, and 200 prop conversion!!
Just spent the day on Salisbury Plain and i have a very chewed up prop doughnut,(only 4 wks old)
Apart from that all is well!

I would have thought if they are the factory springs they would be a bit tired by now!
Why not try a set of H/D standard height springs? (Bearmach blue, or genuine) You could then go on to add a 1" spacer if you didnt want the full 2".
I went to a 2" lift and have no problems with the handling, infact it made it better, still got anti roll bar on though, i do a fair amount of motorway miles too, still sits quite happy at 75-80mph
