  1. I think that the problems described are too different to have a common cause, except the ECU which seems to do many things wrong, in the same time.

It is either a bad connection/earthing problem, or the car's computer needs a reset.

You're under warranty, otherwise I would also suggest to disconnect the battery for a few minutes.

    Keep us informed!

  2. I've been on the forum most days since signing up a less than a month ago, It looks like there are very few Freelander owners getting involved in the forum.

I think it would be a good wee excercise to see how many Freelander owners we have and where they all located, might even lead to a few meets once folk get to know who's where and how many of us there are.

I'll add my name below and hopefully more will follow, maybe once we get a good list we can get a outing or event arranged.

Just copy and paste the list below onto the reply box and add your names

Navigator problems, making mistakes and unable to set POI

MPG showing car is doing 80 mpg(if only)

Stop/Start system, when stopped engine not cutting out

    Wiper sensor not operating correctly

Lights set on Auto but this not happening

  4. I might treet myself to a new vehicle soon as was considering a Freelander. What is the best model to go for? I fancy a V6 but are they thirsty? I have to have an auto as well (why bother changing gear yourself).I'm willing to spend £3000.I'm not keen on diesels but if they are the best ones...

    Thanks

I agree with everyone, avoid the petrol model, go for the XS TD4 diesel, less than £30000, I bought one three months ago, fantastic car

    Road Tax is £175

Stop/Start system giving better returns on fuel consumtion

    Go on spoil your self
