[60/40 rear seats]

hello all members.

can someone help me i have a td4 5 door auto 03 serengeti.

my rear 60/40 rear seat the large 60 side would not fold down !. i looked it over and underneath the release lever

i noticed a steel cable with a ball on the end which i presume has come of the lever.

i pulled the cable only with finger and thumb not pliers and hammer as i was getting a bit peeeeed off.

and the lock undid and the seat folded hooray.but now it will not fold back up it gets half way and feels like something is locking it.i am at my wits end only having a 5 door 3 seater any help is much needed.

yes exactly, most single din head units will fit, and most will come with compatibility instructions! I recently fitted a dvd/cd player in my head unit and didn't even require any adapters, just slotted into the landrover plugs!! Bonus!! Halfords will give you the most help, even if you dont buy the head unit from them!!

You can fit pretty much any aftermarket head unit into your freelander - you will need a harness adapter to convert from the Freelander loom to the ISO style plugs that the new radio will use. Halfords will have a good choice of radio's - we got a kenwood CD player with a built in iPod interface and they also fitted it for free.

Having removed this when we sold the car, I have the adapter loom spare if you were interested. Once you have the adapter loom, pretty much and single DIN head unit can be fitted in a matter of a few minutes....

Hi, I wanted to do the same about 2-3 years ago. After an extensive search I found that is almost impossible to buy Visteon after-market, or to find compatible products. I ended up by replacing the factory fitted player with a Sony with an auxiliary input (for any MP3 players) and a card-size remote control. It was better :-)

However, I remember in the UK and the Netherlands there are some distributors of Visteon products, they can help you, just google for Visteon, find the official website and follow the links to UK partners.

[freelander serengeti cd changer]

hello all.

as a newbie i would like as much help as possible from someone out there.

i have purchased a 5dr freelander serengeti auto 03 reg. it is fitted with the standard single disc/radio according to the books visteon set up.

i would like to fit a 6 disc compatible changer under the passenger front seats. if there is some one out there with better knoledge than me as to what i need frame cable changer and how to fit it any info would be greatfully recieved.
