  1. was having a problem with miss fire so thought a service would help, done the service run for ten min then died ,tried the recomended bleed proses ,nothin but noticed temp needle when turning ignightion on up in red, also can not hear fuel pump priming. any ideas, cheers dave :(

  2. has any one had to change bushes in the electric motor,i have took the motor of but not sure wich end you go in from, the winch is adb 1200i,i have phoned britpart but they are no help at all just keep telling me to return to who i bought it off, :( cheers dave

  3. Right, I've cleaned and tightened all the earth connections and re-seated the relays and ECU connectors. The symptoms have not recurred in the 100 miles I've done subsequently. I suspect the combination of (relatively) high speed and a hot day contributed to the problem during my previous long-run. Since I haven't been as fast and it's not as warm, I may have to wait a while before I can be sure it's fixed!

    All the best,

    Phil.

hi phil, i have the same problem,i thought i had it sorted when it was in a land rover garage, they said it was not a common fault and said it was a birnt wire that led to a yellow relay failur, six quid for relay hundred for fitting it, been out since the problem still there was told earth wires in engine bay right behind the the instramant clocks three earths, cleaned thease up it seemed beter but did it again on moter way when reached 80 mph, going to run earth from battery to earth near ecu try that, defo not going back to garage, stick with this forum save a fortune. ;)

  4. Might be oil in the loom (red plug into ECU under driver's seat) causing a misfire.

Did the gauge go up instantly or creep up? If instantly, could be a poor earth (most likely white connector which screws onto a terminal inside the engine bay, directly in front of instrument panel.)

the needle shot fast and loss of power but when i backed of the revs went back to normal, got of the moterway and at about 40 mph it seemed normal, cheers dave

  5. has anybody any ideas,my td5 2002 ,was towing horse trailer, when it seemed to miss and temp needle shot up to red loss of power but when you backed of the revs a bit went back to normal but put it back under load it kept doing it again, but no sign of over heating, cheers dave
