  1. There is no simple answer as much depends on the geometry of the tubes / load path. In some instances the twin tube design may be significantly stiffer than a single, while in others there may be no appreciable difference. Formal calculation against the design / perceived load cases will give you a clearer understanding.

    Yes, I understand the geometry matters but I was just hoping to get an idea of the difference ceteris paribus

  2. Hmmm, mine is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned, is driven fast off road every day. It has shed a few bits that drop off and make it lighter but the treatment it receives would kill anything else, thinks I. I don't find the clutch heavy and nor do I find it particularly uncomfortable or unacceptably noisy except perhaps at motorway speeds. And yes, it still brings a grin to my face every time I get in. Now, where did I put my rose-tinted specs
