we are just building a new truck and looking for a hydraulic set up. we have a 26 liter pump from a self propeled sprayer will this be a bit big to run with a saley winch. also were runing hydraulic steering front and rear and would like to run it all off one pump.
Also can some one tell me the differance between open and closed center hydraulic's please

would it be possible to link a number of isolators together mechanicaly to all turn with one lever does that then count as one isolator?????
there is an interesting bit about your rope being strong enough for the winch well all know the load puls of a standad winch but what about when you modify and change ratios and drum diameter your then giving the winch more power so that changes. do we have to have our winch's tested to see what they do pull.....
also i am not aware of any safety cut out on a winch and i dont like the idea of something shearing in the winch to tell me its over loaded as i am winching over a cliff ect...
i am no expert but am interested so do say if i miss-understood

from my experiance i would only use timken bearings as well my local garage tryed to charge me 15 quid a bearing but paddocks are only 7 quid. it is an easy fix first job i done on a truck and was supprised at the ease of it. just take your time.
