How many do you want?
Hi. I guess maybe ten and I could sell them on. But I have NO idea on cost, so if it was pretty cheap, maybe more. It's 2mm SS (14 gauge I think?) (Or it may be 3mm looking at some other info I have). I have an updated cad drawing. (hopefully attached). *edit - OK it wouldn't let me attach a dwg file here* Do you know anyone or can you do it yourself?
As they are already in production (hence the photo) id suggest you simply purchase one as the cost for a laser cut one is likely to be many times the cost, if you need many of them done in a production run though then it will become much more reasonably priced. They're not in production - that was a one-off made by a bloke in Finland.

ok optima sticker gone to muddy
(shoe is a size 8 !!! )
-
OK I got these a long time ago (back in LRE days) and never used them (sold my LR long time ago)
Free to whoever replies. Just pm me your address. I put the shoe in the pic so you could judge the size. You can have all of them or just one or two. Whatever you request, until they're all gone!
Note, there is only 1 Optima sticker as one has already been given away.

I took mine off my 200tdi, and in the end never put it back on. - So I had no viscous fan, and no electic fan.
Ran like that for over two years & never overheated. The cooling capacity seems so great, I don't think you need anything in this country.

ok just found this post

It looks easy - is it??
any guide necessary or does it simply unscrew from that big box near the windscreen and lift out?
-
that's brilliant thanks everyone. I like the screfix as a temp fix as I have one near me! I still have the original washer (which is actaully an O ring).

Hi
200tdi. The main cooling rad blew the top off the plastic screw type plug in the top of the radiator. It is in the top towards the near-side (near the intercooler).
Anyone know the part number?
I can find on John Craddock
RRO2126L PLUG FOR TOP OF RADIATOR 90/110(NOT
FILLER PLUG)
or
ERR4686 FILLER PLUG RADIATOR 90/110 & R/ROVER 86
ON DISCO PETROL & 109 V8
with sealing washer of :
ERR4685
but I don't know why the top one says NOT filler plug?
Any the other indicates it's for petrol?
So anyone know for 200tdi what it would be?
thanks!!

Yeah - here's what happens when you don't change it: you break down like me!
and this is what you find:
ps this happend 3 days after I bought it. So don't think 'oh it can wait' !!!!
-
cheers for that
I've had to order 2 ESR3172 unfortunately, as they haven't got the other ones in stock. I'm sure they're not that different & I can make them fit!
-
OK I can only find 2 different part numbers for the exhaust rubbers on a 90 200tdi.
one is ESR3172 the other is NTC5582
they both seem to have some reference to a discovery.
Can anyone confirm if I can use them? I am going to replace both the centre & rear section on a 90, and want to get new rubbers too. Buying the parts online, hence the question.
Any help appreciated

I also fitted a Toad AI606 (to a suzuki jimny!). I bought it from ebay (new) - as they're not meant to be available privately as they're supposed to be fitted by 'experts' . You can buy them new for about £115 inc p+p as opposed to £230 fitted by 'experts'.
Worked a charm and totally reliable. It was quite complicated cos I had to wire it in to do the central locking etc, but on a landrover should be easy.

How about using a 3-way valve as shown on this page. An electric solenoid flicks between either tank to provide output to the third pipe I guess?
-
I always liked wolf wheels like I had on mine:
(now sadly sold)

Yes Bosch is another alternative fit for 200Tdi. that's the LR part number too.
ok great I'll try & get that
here's the link I forgot up there ^
-
ok sorry to keep going on about this but now I've found a 'Bosch' one listed here for only £135.71 + vat ERR5009E
Would that fit ok?
(like Bosch cos good quality)
-
OK I need to replace the strater motor in 200 tdi defender.
Reading about the poor quality ones on sale from paddocks etc I tried to source a Valeo or Bosch one.
Rimmer bros appear to list two motors. Both are Part Number NAD500210 but one has an additional 'P' after the part number (the cheaper one does).
One is very expensive:
£268 http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/cgi-bin/rimmer...nder/electrical
and one for
£96.82
http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/cgi-bin/rimmer...rtID=NAD500210P
but i can't see what the difference is? They dont say what make they are etc.
Anyone know where I can get a Valeo one online, or between Didcot and West London?
thanks
ps also how long (timewise) would you genuinely allow to change a starter motor?
-
hi
the fuel pipe from the filter looks like washing machine hose, which is doubtless brittle and about to catch fire!!
Can I just buy any fuel hose in Halfords to replace it? Or should it be diesel specific? (or is there a genuine LR part number I should use?)
cheers
Where can I get metal laser cut?

only cos that what's someone recommended. However, I realise that 'pressing' (or 'punching'?) it out is also possible.
