Hi David, I relocated from NI to Manchester in October 2016 with 2 vehicles and it was simple. No need for MOT. I contacted DVLA who advised me to send in my V5C with change of address. After a short while I received new V5C and new registration number. I then contacted Insurance company.
Hope this helps.
Ivan.

Thanks Bowie69. I'm just looking for ways to preserve it for as long as possible.

Hello All, I'm a newbie to the forum and would like to begin by thanking all you guys and girls for sharing your knowledge and expertise so freely. I own a '97 Defender 110 h/top with 188000 miles on the clock. I've since sandblasted, rustproofed and patched the chassis, fitted a new rear crossmember, changed the timing belt and done a full service, including new oil in the diffs, g/box and Xferbox, and soundproofed the interior, all this with the help of your detailed advise.
I would like to know if anyone has used "Engine Restorer" additive as advertised in the LRO magazine? If so I would greatly appreciate feedback or comments of any personal experiences.
Regards
Ivan

Hi Roamingyak,
Thanks for offering to share your advice. What would you say the average daily cost of travel is? I'm thinking mainly fuel, border crossings, meals, emergency contingency, etc. I'm aware that it's different for each traveller but I'm interested in the bare minimum for 2 adults.
Thanks in advance.
Ivan
