  4. Well I'm looking forward to it!

I too have been watching this thread and some people need to stop arguing for the sake of it.

Although I am taking part in a totally different class and if what I will be doing fails scrutineering..... :(

hi mate its mark the scrut i have put mine and my dad vic phone number please phone us i no the msa rules are hard to digest thats why we are here to help all of you we dont mind spending hours on the phone as long as it gets you out in the mud and you have fun please phone us to get the answers and advise you need to have a good advent

  5. thats excellent news mark for all the landy owners who's tyres foul there bodywork.

it just means that i and others have wasted lots of time and money preparing our trucks

to comply with regs that mean nothing. i for one have spent hours and hours repairing a

fault to be able to compete, just to see others competing with the same fault.

so many drivers are put off the awdc because of the huge list of challenge regs and now

your saying just put mudguards on and you will be fine, please just create a sensible set

of regs that work and stick to them, then everyone will know where they stand :D

trouble is i dont make the regs the msa do but any sensable scrutineer that nows off road vehicles inside and out nows to turn a land rover in a sensable circle the wheels hit that if any one is worried i have put are phone number there please phone us so we can help with problems like this

  6. Your truck will need to meet the regs for this comp

being tax'ed, mot'ed, sva'ed etc.. dosen't appear in the regs as posted above.

But if you get to worried i can enter in your place if needed :)

hi mate its mark you do not need any of that mot , tax and sva is not required please phone me or my dad vic if any one is worried we are here to help 02392 664637 and we want every that has entered to start the day

  7. ok ive read through the regs from your link and this is part of what ive found.

    9.5 Suspension

    a. Must be fitted with sprung suspension between the wheels and chassis unless originally manufactured otherwise. no problem there.

    b. Suspension and steering movement must be controlled to avoid fouling of wheels and tyres on chassis and bodywork.???

    9.7 Steering

    a. Must have a full circumference full diameter steering wheel unless originally manufactured otherwise. should not be a problem

    b. Have steering movement controlled to prevent fouling of wheels and tyres on chassis and bodywork.????

ok well these refer to the points i made, and like i said ive seen plenty compete when this rule is in place. these are in the tech regs for the KOV but i suspect some trucks will not be pulled up on it, if they are allowed to run, i feel its only fair that other truck should be able to run with other discrepancys too.

sh!t stirring or not, these are the regs so i trust they will not be bent for anyone.

hi its mark as most of you no i have never stopped any one from playing i am an ex racer so i no what its like . you have to have a really serious problem before i stop any one but you all must have mud guards and mud flaps as per regs as the msa has clamped down hard on this due to the amount of insurance claims from flying stones and rocks as long as you have these and roll cage is ok and the all the other stuff it will be ok please phone me or my dad vic if any of you are worried we are always here to help 02392 664637 wheels hitting body well how do you turn a landy then if they dont

  8. hi chaps i no some of you are moaning about the rules and want to knock the awdc scruts down a peg or two , we dont makes the rules thats the msa's doings not us , they do read all the web sites and have been in contact , they have asked us now if we would like a team in to messure and weigh all your cars which does take a long time which means it will not be completed before the start hence some cars wont go out , i dont want this as i want you all out there to have a good time so please read the rules and dont put stuff on web sites about us or it may be your car they get you to strp down in front of them if they turn up on the day , as you all no you have a msa licence and they can take that away from you for misconduct which includes things on web sites so please can i have just one event that i dont have any problems with and every one enjoys them self , looking forward to a new and good event for the 2012 season

  9. hi chaps i no the challenge series has had a slow start this year but what do you all want out of the events do you like xl or would you all rather go back to howlin wolfe format think niel could do with your feed back so we can kick start the series again i no some of you have told me howlin wolfe was the format you liked but its not me you need to tell , i miss you boys and the all the laughs and banter that goes on and helping you repair your cars in the pitts so lets have some feed back in what you all want cheers boys mark p

  10. Hi i need to buy two helemts for challenge events where is the best place to go and buy them..

    I suppose my criteria is:

    1)safe

2)not going to go out of date next year etc

3)light weight so it does not feel like i need a neck brace as well :)

    4)reasonable price

    5) can take comms when i add them in the future

Can someone advise, saves me calling hundreds of places for a good price etc.

    thanks in advance

hi mate its mark the best one to go for is a snell 2005 or the newest one is 2010 the red label bs6658-85 type a/fr runs out in 2016 some motorbike shops or diemon tweeks

  11. Firstly a big thanks to Bob (and his tractor) for getting me off the filed so quickly at the end - I'm now in Sri Lanka where its 35 degrees :D

An excellent day although the course had been set out for the dry it worked well in the wet, even if the scores were low. Can't believe Bob beat us by just 3 points, I wish we (I ) hadn't snapped the winch rope on one of the timed sections, it might have made all the difference. Would love to see the times as well.

Looking at the scores I think the only difference lockers made was you got to spin all 4 wheels instead of just 2

As always thanks to the team for setting up, and Bob for the new site, and apologies I had to rush off at the end.

hi mates its mark girlfriend loved her fudge she said to thank you very much it lasted till we got to the m5

  12. nice to hear a bit of common sense there mark well done, but in all honesty the truck is in bits still, the plate test on the lorry runs out tomorrow, so it was never going to be on for me. id like to think i would be able to take part in the latter part of the year, but mud flaps rear window/mesh fire proof helmets etc etc put a stop to that. There are plenty of other events to do this year, and even though walters must have been a great expirence for everyone involved (great idea neil well done) if the awdc will book that site for the xl series with only a few cars, they surely cant turn down the challenger series for holding an event there next year with good numbers. fingers crossed.

sorry i cant do any thing about the helmets thats msa same as the mud flaps and rear mesh trouble is they dont come to events but i have been warned that there will be a spot check this year so please dont let me get a massive telling of as it all come back on me as i am the only msa offical there , i do love you all xxxxxx

  13. Info please Mark.

Rear windows? Is that ref a rear rad ie no change?

Mesh? Is that ref no front screen ie class1 no change?

Mud flaps? The same as before just some didn't ?

We now need spill kits ? Can't see them on Awdc shop but then I can't find owt!

Anything else I should know for later in season?

    Thanks

hi mate you dont need spill kits, rear window or bulk head if rad or fuel tank in the back or if you have non of that in the back you have to have mesh like if you have no wind screen , some stuiped rule msa bought in

  14. ps if any one is free to spare tens to help me with my carp tent they will pass no problem cheers boys , the girlfriend picked it but she is running timing at another event so i am left by my self thanks mark
