  1. My 1986 Rangie is powered (?) by a 2.8 Diahatsu turbo diesel. In an effort to wring more out of it I am thinking of fitting an intercooler. Anybody done this?

    Questions:

Do I look round for a Diahatsu intercooler or cobble something together. Landrover 200 tdi intercoolers seem cheap and plentiful at the moment and would probably fit.

What about the Landrover radiator with intercooler on the side?

Where do I go for hoses to plumb the thing in - only sources on the net seem to be for the high performance brigade - with high performance prices!

Any other suggestions? (don't say dump the Diahatsu lump!)

Hi. i also have a rangie with this engine. athough mine is the early type that only has about 100mm of hose between turbo and inlet . not sure if i can fit an intercooler. just wondering what is yours like on pull away? mine seems gutless

As long as you can get the hoses to fit any one should do. larger ther better though (intercooler that is)
