But a ratchet crimper does them just right and leaves marks...
I do use a ratchet crimper, just a cheap one but I find you can control it better.

Thanks
You could be crimping them too much. I try not to over do them.

I like the what you have done with the LED's in the pillar!
Gets me thinking about the spare leds I have!

Hi all
Im new on here and to my 110 defender. I'm looking for some ideas for boxing out the back of the van and making a bulkhead with a perspex hatch. I will also add a few LED strip lights and hopefully put something on the roof to stop the drips.
If some has any pic's it would be very helpful
Thanks

Check for signs of leaking around the filler cap on the coolant reservoir. The spring in the cap can weaken and allow coolant to escape. I had this problem with my '02 110 and a new cap resolved it.
Happy New Year,
Phil.
I have the same problem, I changed the cap and all looked fine but after a week it started to leak at the cap again. I'm thinking of using PTFE tape on the coolant tank threads.

I work in the same industry and have a similar ratchet crimper in my toolbox. I just think some ratchet crimpers over do it and personally I prefer the manual one as I have far better control and the results are tidy.
I think I will go for sub- fuse board in the battery box for my additional power requirments in the console.
