just take it to the machine engineering shop on cheney manor - the one with a home made model t frame on wheels next to it, its on the left as you go towards the tip just before sheer value motors.

dont expect too much, I have +2 terrafirma spings on my D1 200tdi its never going to corner like a car or a £60K truck

wait till your heater blower fails - that's a centre console/dash board out/refill with coolant job.
I ended up with about 20 screws/bolts left over - but nothing is rattling!

ditch them, all they do is collect and retain wet mud - which is why we have to weld our inner arches back on!

when I got my 200tdi earlier this year the nearside rain gutter trim cover was wrecked with the alloy insides showing! most unsightly, I have finally got around to addressing it and guess what, it only cost £8.00 new from Th whites and they had it in stock!

John, have you got a battery yet? I picked up 2 used ones from Ridgeway 4x4 yesterday, in the process of charging them up but so far so good. Each one cost £10
happy to pop round one night and fit it for you, after I have got my new alternator on.
D1 inner wing rust job - my first welding job- starting prep today

so I finally got around to getting some 0.6mm sheet and today I have removed the wings ready for discing out to solid metal and shining up for welding.
my question is should I overlap weld with the new metal in the wheel arch or in the engine bay, presume welding upside down is not easy?
