  1. Car 24

40" Trepador tyres are the way forward for next year 37" just not big enough

a super charger would be nice 480 hp just not enough

    stronger 9" diffs

    Fiddle brakes

    double ended steering ram.

this year was ok but the steering was scary at 62 mph (low Box in the rev limiter) with the set up we where using

i think with the super charger 40" tyres and being able to run hi box we may be in with a shout

i believe the winning team broke a 63mm half shaft in there dana pro rock axles?

  2. Bad things... Friend caught a little sh!t with a screw driver in his door lock, thankfully he has extra locks. Other things, like the security still isnt up to scratch... one of the tallest people I've met could get in without a ticket! And the sad news of the MUD 90 and others being stolen. Heard of a trader selling stolen stuff, I believe he was kicked off site.

    thankyou for the report

Kev`s 90 was stolen from his hotel and not from billing it was the only one reported over the weekend of billing in a 10 mile radius (i will check with the police again on monday)

No traders where kicked off site for selling stolen parts.

would be great to know how your friend got in for free??

and its a pity your friend didnt report his crime of the atempted break in to us so that we could do somthing about it!

thanks for coming to billing bring on 2011

  3. i have a 2.8 tgv with a few mods

it pegged a rolling road at 500ibft and the bhp was good :D

i used a paddle clutch which never slipped but i broke the gearbox in 1000 miles! and to be honest it was proberbly broken way be for then

PM me if i can be of any help

    andy

  5. I was under the impression that 65mm (2.5" in old money) was the maximum you could lower a disco - but I am going to space the wheels 30mm either side, which should improve cornering when I get round to it and the paint job is done.

I had hoped to be outside doing the Disco today, but what was meant to be a day off has only just finished........ :(

thanks for that info i will start at 2.5"

i will be using conversion spacers so i can use D2 wheels if i go for a 35 or 45 profile will i be able to go lower?

just ordered front and rear lights and side repeaters from bolt on bits

and i am of to discovery breakers for a leather trim and some 18" wheels

  6. I'll be watching this tread closly, I'm at the same point. I've got a 200Tdi and also don't know if I should go street or off road. I can see about a million pounds worth off things that i NEED to buy for it (no honest I do need them really honest).

thats the problem do i pimp it I.E bang some 22s and a lowering kit on it

or lift it and bolt on a million pounds worth of goodies

  7. step 1 `shout`clear for winching, this is a warning to people around you

step 2 `shout` winch in, is a the go message for the driver

i have used this for years its a safe system

as for winch hooks/plasma ropes as long as the saftey clasp is working i dont see the need for winch sails

At mamby no saftey clasp no compete

  8. Hi all

The interest has been astounding from the trade

the trade forms are about to get sent out and until there signed and back in the list will not appear I like to operate a got list rather than a wish list

Clubs have spoken to us and there forms will be out in due course

As for the offroad course its amazing I paid a visit 6 weeks ago and to be honest it wont disappoint its probably the most challenging site you will visit on a show ground. I will be down again in a few weeks to do some photos and am looking forward to it.

Jules we will see what mat and I can come up with
