[2007 model defender won't start again]

out side asda with all the xmas goodies in the back. thick freezing fog all loaded off we go won't start again

turns over half a turn and jams up tryed loads of times half a turn only

after ringing land rover i try again starts up

any idears

its had a new clutch last week

starter motor us ?

dam thing on call over xmas getting very fed up now

Mine does this when the immobilser cuts in. If you lock the car and wait 20 seconds then unlock it using the remote, it should start first time.

It seems to come in after a delay between unlocking the car and starting her up.

Guess you've already thought about this though, right ?

Steering wheel is not straight on mine - I have just got used to it, though could be altered i guess.

Weak alarm / Central locking fob - Yep weak it is.

tiny water leak near throttle pedal uder rainy motorway conditions, no other leaks.

Rear seat release mechanism needed adjustment - Adjusted!

All very minor items. I'm well pleased with mine.

110 station wagon in Cairns Blue.

I believe it was the first 07 110 station wagon to get released. Nothing done to it yet.

[2007 Defender - ABS/ETC switchable?]

Cheers for the info. And the want to disable the system would be for off roading not normal road use. I have heard of several instances where the TD5 traction control system actually hindered off road ability and even caused a farmer in Wales to write off his 90 because of it. I think it was on a slippy steep side slope, the ETC/ABS wouldn't let the vehicle stop as it kept releasing the wheels to try and find traction, short of putting it in neutral and pulling the hand brake up I guess there wouldn't be much you could do.

If the traction was control was active, then the vehicle was sliding. Without it turned on, the vehicle would slide all the way to the same place as when TC was active. TC just gives you the abilty to steer into what part you want to hit.

Only worth turning off in Snow, sand etc where you actually get better brakeing by having the snow build up infront on the tyre.

I should be getting my 07 110 tonight. I'll post back if I can find an 'OFF' button

[Defender 2007 Cooling Problem?]

Well , all i can say, !!

Ordered a new 110 XS with most options, near 30k worth, for del last week May/1st week June,,

4 days later, same UK dealer calls back and informs delivery will now not be until August ? maybe, and that their was a problem with customers ordered cars, did not mention dealers pre-ordered stock ones ??

I could understand, if i had screwed him down on price (re-sold it at retail) !! so you tell me ?

Hello. I'm new here.

I ordered my 110 XS in Jan as a dealer pre-order. The dealer has received 2 of his 6 cars, and mine is next.

Car was built last month and HAS been factory released, yet 3 delivery dates have slipped, the last of which was April 16th.

So far, No car!
