  1. This is normal behaviour, going up hills offroad challenges the traction of the tyres, especially if you give it some throttle. Hence the TC does what it is supposed to do, getting you up the hill. The light simply indicates it is working. ;)

BTw, taking a car offroad from the first day you have it, way to go! :D

    Thanks guys.

Looks like I dont have any problems, not always easy after driving Toyota for 20 years, and now a Land Rover.

But i must say I like the change.

  2. sounds like an issue, unless is it heavily loaded at the rear? are you towing? are you driving on a firm surface - ie tarmac?

    Hi there

The car is not heavy loaded, and I am not towing.

It is only when I am off road I have seen it come on, and going up hills.

It has been doing it from the first day I have had the car.

  3. I am having problems with my traction control, Well I think.

Every time I am going up a hill, and push it, the light for the traction control comes on, but stays on until I reduce the speed, 5-10 sek.

It is not like I am doing 40km Hr, I do try and take care of my car.

    Is this normal.?

I don't know much about traction control, can someone give me a bit more info about it, please.

  4. Have just received my new Double Defender, and saw this morning when moving it, the ABS light stays on.

Have checked the fuses, and what conection I can see, all ok,

I don't know much about ABS system.

Don't want to take it back to the dealer, if it is just something simple.

    Any ideas

    Regards

  5. is this for show or would you go deep water wading

i am sure the TD5 one will fit but i would wonder how much bhp you lose as the air intake route seems to be a bit small on the 2007 model

i have a 2007 double cab at present and the air in take runs forward of the hole

    blacks the only colour

Thanks for all the imputs, I will try a TD5 model, I was just suprised when I saw the engine compartment, how well packed it is, I am also planning of installing a hydraulic winch, can see there is going to be a bit of a challenge there.

    Thanks
