  1. IMHO the bid rocks with the scrapes on the top don't seem to have move since last time I was up there, That point in the track has always been the 'hard' bit and usualy requires some one to show you the way up it. Long wheel base vehicles usually have a harder time than short onea. Still looking for pictures?

If my memory serves me correctly that pipe has been exposed for a number of years. Certainly the last 5.

The damage to the large rocks can only have been done by Roman Chariots ;)

  2. extremely poor condition?

its better now that it was a year ago

there in only about a 20 meter section where the track is just passable, the rest of it is fine and perfectly good to use.

    edit:

for christs sakes, i saw a Rav 4 come down there the other day.

Sorry but i think avoiding this route is going to have absolutely no effect on the councils decision. They are also talking about a TRO on tenterhill. So without wanting to be vilified i think we should continue to use these lanes until the inevitable happens. All voluntary action in the past has not pacified the powers that be...look at North Yorkshire- they have been restricted to stop illegal use??? oh yeah thats logical isnt it...people who were previously acting illegally will now behave...fools!!!

  3. By left I take it you mean west (ish) past the wood, east leads to a gateway too small to pass through.

if you are heading from Foxhouse its left , if you turn right there is no right of way. Its great when its snowed. Are you local to the Sheffield area?

  4. Yes I have your step

Along with two other bags of trash that were thoughtfully left beside the trailer for me to deal with

Neil, sorry one of the bags may have been mine. I left it where we camped to take home with me but when i got back it had been moved. Didnt see it next to the trailer though, sorry.
