I have a simple solution for holidays, etc, consiting of a raised floor under which things like camping chairs, spare parts, etc go, and boxes on top of that. Works well.

Yes, I got the guard from Paddocks and am happy with it.

Fitting was not a problem but you do have to remove the spoiler below the bumper (at least on my 200Tdi) or saw slots into it.

A compressor fridge like the Engel uses a lot less electricity than a 3-way fridge.

There are other makes of compressor fridges. I have a Waeco which I am very happy with. There used to be a guy on the german ebay (www.ebay.de, not sure if he still trades) who sold them for a lot less than UK prices. Ordering from him worked fine.
