  1. it's a strange world...

after bleeding the brakes god knows how many times yesterday and the spongy brake, I left the car for the night.

drove it today for about 10 miles to MOT to have it checked and the brakes worked all great. even had a comment from the guy to say the brakes worked extremely well...

All this without touching the brakes after last night...

    weird!

thanks a lot anyway for your help!

  2. Done a lot of research on this forum, but no luck so far.

On my 2001 Td5 Defender I've changed discs, calipers, pads and brakelines (flexible steel ones) all around.

been bleeding the brakes for at least 10 times (both manual and with a pressure self bleed system) with no air coming out of any the calipers

when driving I have brakes, but still feels like a sponge...

when you push hard on the pedal (engine running) you can feel that it is going down very slow.

any tips/recommendations or anything I overlooked (only option I can think of is the mastercilinder... )

thanks a lot for your help!

  3. Hendrik, are you planning on racing in the rallye tout terrain series in Francais? That'd be fun.

This is not my personal car but a customers car @ D&G 4x4 Tuning, they plan to race it but not sure yet in which competitions.

XTC could be a good idea too!
