  1. Glad to hear that Steve and Brian are both OK.

Still waiting for further news from Rob, will let you know as soon as...

    Championship points are now available

    HERE

Saley - invisible punches? They were all there when the marshals collected them! Although there were a lot of repairs during the day - when it was reported. What frustrates me more is the incredible snapping bunting. We put it up, it snaps, people drive to now easy punches!:angry:

a big thankyou to everyone who stopped to help with our recovery :) a bit of a mess :( brian is ok but brused :D me well bike racing is what ive done for the past 16 years and ive had some good offs 150+mph and felt better than i do now :) but ill mend :D:P may get to next round but wife expecting so may have to miss out ,will know closer to the time :P also any debates any body may have on roll cages north off road with out any dowt saved our lives a big thankyou also cage is still looking very straight ,will have to see about another one they get my vote thanks ,steve m ps ihope rob makes a speedy recovery i wish him well , also neil another good event just a shame we had an early bath

  2. Yeeks :o

    Hydraulic power [insane cackle] :D

Now I am worried as my whole winch mount is only 6mm................. I have yet to find anything that presented any risk of stalling my MM in low range - you can tell on mine when it is about to stall (in high range) because the serpentine belt starts to twitter shortly before the valve opens on the pump.

I guess if you are using the standard motor you could hazard a guess at the loads involved if the PRV was at 2300psi:-

Std MM with ZF pump which I believe pushes out 1750psi pulls 10500lb if you believe the specs

So 2300/1750 x 10500 = 13800lb! Which is interesting as 10mm Dyneema is "supposed" to be breaking strain of somewhere around 20,000lb and 12mm should be a hell of a lot more than that.........

Has it cracked the motor/gearbox casing or is it just twisted one side to the other?

out of interest what punch were you stuck at nige

  3. Glad to hear you all had fun at slab! Team posoc is nearly back up and running having just bought 200tdi disco! Can any one tell me if the lt77 gearbox will mount to the same mounts as the lt 95 that is currently in it though ( in the bobtail that is, not the disco!!!)

We are aiming to make Llanfyllin the first event, got to educate new co driver some how!

Roll on the return of the Dukes of Leicestershire!!!

no there different mountings compleatly phill :P:o

  4. I find it funny that they are saying TESTED at the Scorpion challenge........

The only guy that competes on those events that was offered a set is Ed......

Funnier still is that he (I might be wrong) told me he had not had time to fit them before the last round.....

    No i'm wrong

HE did fit them for the last round, but not for the one before, knew i'd get it right in the end.

But you would not call that Extensive testing, would you?

Jez if you want a ste of Ashcroft drive members give me a call, we now stock them.

    Jim :)

ed has not got any of these cv joints fitted to his car yet ,because we dont have any yet

  5. If we are of to slab for the first round can we forcibly remove the tree's? I still havnt forgiven them for what they did to my poor wounded range rover! Got to buy more orange paint now! Anybody got spare doors for old two door range rover? Think i need to stockpile!

you will need more than orange paint team p,o,s,o,c go on ave it :lol:

  6. Thanks to everyone involved in organising and running all of the events which have been superb all year!

We thoroughly enjoyed it all and would have done so even if we hadn't won it in our first full year competing together, comiserations to Simon Madgwick, we hope he returns next year to push us all the way again.

Thanks also to rob for a double pull out of the mud!

    :D
