  1. I did sell it but baught it back as the guy had it since i saw u at Tong and he never even bothered to move it from my place LOL Anyways its between that and the 110, but theve both got poor chinease winches :-( worth a trip out just to play though me thinks.

I did the pre xmas one last year and it was great, a real friendly event, Barney was a great help and Alan K draged us out at the end of day 2 as we had 2 dead winches, dont think we'd have ever got out without him!

Give me a bell anyways Tim crnt get thru to ur fone.

Entry form in the post tomoro

  2. BADLRC is an excelent start me thinks, or try tail end challenge thats really tame! As soon as you go try you'll love it, you just gotta be willing to travel and a good co-driver is the key, that you can both abuse each other, agrue, rant, rave, disagree and NOT fall out and keep up good spirit! lol

unfortunatly due to work Am still a novice, I have only done 3 events but in 3 different trucks.

To start I did tailend challenge 1st, drove their with my mate, we had no winch, 35" BFG Muds aired down, a good suspension set up and won both days in the novice which was painfully slow and easy for anyone who has any knowlage of offroading (we did abuse the truck though).

Then we did last years howling wolf at kirton, drove thier with the truck full with tent etc it was alot better/harder but did a brake flexy on the 1st punch, then after clamping that up killed a cv and shaft on the special stage ( white 100" Tray back, lockers, F&R winches), so had to strip it down and remove in the mud with jack Sh*t tackle, then drove home wet and cold with no heater, in Diff lock, again the cab full with **** but still laughing!

The we did the BADLRC 2 day event with nite sections team event with me and my co driver driving 2 seperate motors with 2 new winch men, trailored both motots their (Highly recomended). we did Good on the 1st day (1st :D ) as it was timed and rob was very very good and enthusiastic, the night ddnt go 2 well, then killed both winches on day 2. But had an excelent time all weekend and the night was awsome!

Problem is its highly addictive and you always want something more competative/reliable as a novice,Just on with building a new truck for some more events! Everybody is very friendly and helpfull though, the more competative 'Big Lads' seem to be more helpfull and are a great help for knowlage/Re-assurance!

Classes depend on the spec of your truck, but you only have to try what you want when you want, theirs no set on what you have to do!

  3. Challenge trucks ive had:

    2 door bobtail 100" 3.5 v8 manual

1994 defender 90 300tdi (tweaked pump and boost, straight through zaust) Manual

200tdi 100" r380 box (Tweaked pump and boost, no intercooler, straight through)

1998 300 Tdi Auto defender 90 (Tweaked pump and boost, BIG intercooler, Stainless with 1 smallbox)

And current 300 TDI defender 90 Auto (tweaked pump and boost, straight through zaust)

AUTO IS THE BEST ALL ROUND! Any whos used an auto for any amount of time wouldnt have a manual if the choice was there!

As for v8's why??? there ****e in water, are getting rarer and harder to replace with a good one, they expensive to run, they all boil at some stage!!!

The 300tdi is cheap to replace, full discos come at £500 and there bullet proof!

In CHALLENGES YOU NEVER WANT MORE POWER. ONLY MORE TRACTIION!!!

    Anyways just my opinion

  4. My arb compressor has stopped and i carnt see any problems???

What happened was the relay got a shunt with the waffle, which cracked the casing and sent the compressor running constant, so we hit the stop, had a fiddle with the relay and all was well it had stoped, but now it wont start?

Tryed a new relay, the pressure switches on the compressor just click when you flich the switches, tryed a new pressure switch still no luck, it has live and earth to the compressor???

    Anyone any ideas?

    Cheers Ty
