as above New gasget with lots of Silicon sealant ,DONT CUT Corners as it will come back & BITE you on the ASS !!!!Do it properly. Change the gasket. Don't forget to check the head is true & undamaged. The other way is to put the K-Seal in. Its one of the very few that actually work.

my 64 88" s2 had a mini heater fitted in the passenger foot well was OK but looked carp ,so i brought a 60,s Morris 1000 heater more in keeping with the year (same core as s2 round type heater just different front/back covers but she fits ) & it works a treat chucks out loads for heat & even better now I've fitted a truck cab as the heat stays at the front instead of trying to heat the van bit at the back as-well ,good luck with yours BTW & happy xmasHi alli have been given an 80s mini heater but i haven't seen it yet so when i get it i will try and fit it in the area where the round heater is now as i don't think it will fit under the dash in the middle ?

Hi & cheers for the info to every one BTW a couple more questions ,Dose the 2.5 nad flywheel fit the 300 crank & will the 2.5 TD turbo exhaust manifold fit the 300 head do you know ?Hi thereYou will deff need to change the flywheel backhousing as the 300's were fitted to the r380-type bellhousing which is different to the lt77/series type. Either 2.5na/td or 200 can be fitted but i think either need to be modified in some way(not sure, not done one myself).
Engine mounts should be bolt on,clutch might be an issue since the series2 has the built-in release bearing assy which isn't compatible with the later clutches, but could have the 300 flywheel re-drilled to take the series 2 clutch.
Hope any of this helps
