if a bulkhead is rotten all along the top... is it possible to cut the top of and replace or would you have to replace the whole bulkhead(was thinking of cutting it of under the flaps??~)

does anyone know if a defender turbo diesel p/s pump fits on a defender 200tdi engine????

That's what happened to my pump about 4 years ago, make sure the rebulider uses the latest parts, as Bosch revised the coatings on the cam plate & roller.

ok cheers for the help...have bought a new solenoid and am on my way to fit..keep you posted..

just to update...took the solenoid out today and their was a tiny shard of metal stopping it from closing fully...have cleaned it out and put it back together for know but,,,will have to get the thing rebuilt next week

my 200tdi defender wont turn of when you take the keyout????any ideas...

Check the inside of the rim for dried mud, it will throw the balance out & create a wobble

what about the ujs on the propshafts have you checked them for play????

Be careful, it's rather dependant on the front timing cover of the engine. The later (EFi) types have a shorter nose, but how interchagable the pumps are I don't know for sure - all I know is we once went through about 3 different spare pumps on one lump and none of them fitted

I've just replaced the V8 in mine for a 1996 unit and apart from modding the bulkhead pretty much entirely re-did the conversion. Any pictures or questions just ask.
