Tomas4x4
Hi, On my 1996 300tdi disco one of the indicators on the wing is not working, the bulb is fine so I suspect an earth fault, can anyone tell me where the earth would be located so I can check ti? Many thanks. Tom.
cipx2
All earth wires from all the indicator lamps go in one place, behind the fascia on the left of the blower motor. Don't worry about were the earth goes. If the rest of the indicators are working, less likely there's a fault at that connection behind the fascia. Check the earth pin at the bulb holder with a test lamp against battery +12V. Then turn hazzard switch on and test the live pin from the holder against a known good ground point and, after that, against the ground pin in the holder. Usually, the malfunction of a side repeater comes from a pour contact between the bulb and the holder.
