I recently bought my first 96 Disco 1 auto and was a little disappointed with its up hill towing capabilities to say the least. After reading all the excellent advice on this forum i decided to : Replace the exhaust down pipe with a straight through de - cat version. Replace the lift pump Replaced the crankcase breather Fitted an uprated intercooler from Brunnel performance Blanked off the ERG Fitted a performance air filter (did have some reservations about this though) Full service including Sedimentor clean out Checked timing (as its a fly by wire version and i cant do anything with the fuel pump) and boy does it shift now - its scary at times!!!
