chopes Posted December 6, 2009 Share Posted December 6, 2009 Hi to Everyone I have put off replacing the rear Cross Member on my 92 3.9 Vogue for 2 yrs, as all the past reviews I have read quote it being a terrible job unless you chop it in half and install the two halves separately, then weld them together. This is not true as I have just fitted mine into position in under a minute. Only the fuel tank needs removing prior to assembly (leave exhaust & boot floor in position) Slide the Cross Member through the RH side rear wheel arch into the lowest part of the chassis (bottom of radius below fuel tank when fitted) Then from the rear pull & twist the Cross Member into position.
