Def 90 [year 97] Dim Dip Headlight Problems - Help!

Hi all,

I wondered if there are any electrical buff out there to help me with my def 90 dip beam headlight probs.

Basically I [With great help of 'Fanatic' on Landzone.co.uk'] found the Dim Dip relay unit, and pulled it out. However, now that I have done that, i get no dipped lights at all, and even when i push it back in the same occurs. I have again checked the fuses but all ok.

All I want is to have the dipped headlights working - goodness this is doing my head in, but i will not give in and give hard earned cash to landorver at £90/hr to find this fault.

Can anyone help me out here please - my fmaily and i are desperate to get our 'Prettyboy' def 90's dipped working again.

In haste

Zebs and Family

Dead simple get a test lamp find the feed on the relay block from the dipped beam cicuit and link it to the dipped beam output (blue and red i think) then should be all good (i think i'm right not 100%sure its about 4 years since i last dumped one of these relays) :) either way you have to link two wires. cheers

This has happened to me before on a 2007 defender, not sure if the part is similar to 97 year but it was down to the indicator/main/dip stalk. On the TD5 and 2007> defender the stalk comes comes with a multi-task switch that failed. What you decribed is exactly what happened to me. Main bean and flash but no dip
