My name is Jamie and i recently aquired a mk1 disco 300tdi which has been put together from about 6 different vehichles.The donor vehichle is an n reg which originally was an auto but is now manual. I have just spent the last 3 weeks trying to sort out the immobiliser problem which started about 2 hours from purchase.I would like to thank everyone who has posted on this subject,your information has been invaluable in particular the bogmonster and peterdon. After ripping the car apart as well as the little hair i have left i eventually found i do not have a spider(more confusion).However today isolved the problem by changing the immobiliser ecu and key fob (courtiously from my mate who owns the local scrapyard)and hey presto it works.
