GWO110 Posted October 5, 2012 Share Posted October 5, 2012 Does anyone know if the ECU fitted to a UK 300Tdi Discovery Auto with EDC can be fitted to a 300Tdi Auto Disco with EDC from Japan. I want to replace the ECU in my Jap import but the UK and Japan vehicles have ECU's with different part numbers and I'm not sure whether the ECU in the UK model is a straight swap. eg. does the UK ECU need a particular signal from the alarm ECU? For the VIN numbers i'm interested in (To MA163103):- The EDC ECU for the Japan models are ERR4844, replaced by ERR6208 The EDC ECU for the UK models are ERR5985, replaced by ERR6363, replaced by AMR5623, (Later replaced by AMR6228) There's plenty AMR6228 ECU's around but could I use one of these??
