Hi all,
Friend of mine has a 1971 range rover classic, with early axles fitted (as in standard)
Was wondering if a set of compomotive alloys would fit onto the axle ends?

BTW, I'd love to know more about the Iveco swap, i.e. what donor engine etc.
As would I. Looks like quite an interesting lump...
as for the value, would have to agree with HPLP,find out how much it would cost for you to rebuild it. And get them to agree to the highest value they will give you to that.

Thanks guys for the input! Really appreciate it, just trying to understand EVERYTHING! ( or near as damn it!
) before my friend and I let loose with fitting the new engine and megasquirt set up. I realised about the injector wiring though after i found an old 1990 range rover efi wiring diagram, which only had 3 different wires doing all the injectors aswell, so after that I assumed it was the way!Cheers again guys for the help though. Really appreciate it!
Will get on with getting it all in and running now!

been there done that, with 3 props now ( 2 of them shortly after greasing funnily enough)
2 of the props were complete catastrophic failure, destroyed my floor panels and tunnel once, and the second time ripped the whole wiring loom from the front to the back apart....
the weird thing is, the first one, i forgot to grease, however the other two, i religeously greased because of the first one!
now im so so paranoid, as soon as i feel a shake i brace myself for impact!!

also, meant to ask....
with the megasquirt injectors wired up like that, would i therefore be firing into 3 dead cylinders (as in not under compression) on each cycle?

hi all!! I am using a bosch pwm valve (bosch 0280140516) for my megasquirt set up.
In my wiring diagram i have 4 wires (red&green, green&white, blue&white, orange) however only 2 wires on the replacement stepper motor/ air solenoid.
Anyone able to help me out? which wires do i need??

A friend of mine is organising a pay and play at slab common on the 2nd of October, trying to get numbers up a bit so that we can definately secure the site.

ive got an r380 behind my v8, which is about to become a 4litre megasquirt jobby! and should still be up to the job, has a different bellhousing and input shaft though, but both are available parts

Just been reading more and more about good old megasquirt
( should really sleep! )If the sensors are set up as described, can the plenum and the fitted sensors still be used? or are they not compatible with megasquirt? If thats answerable....

ok, the plenum in question:
The plug i photo'd was the one attached to the article on the far right of the plenum.
So the same as bowie69's photo i guess, was best to clarify though!

The wires coming off the TPS ( or so i thought) were:
1x red and orange
1x red and green
1x green and white
1x blue and white
Will go take a photo of the plenum and the gubbins now, so an adult can tell me which is which

Got a 4 litre v8 that im looking to megasquirt, however my throttle position sensor has 4 wires coming off of it, and i can only find/ have only seen wiring diagrams with 3 wires on them, can anyone tell me what the 4 wires are for? or which one isnt needed (if that is doeable

The IRB one is incredibly good!
Test drove a car with this turbo fitted a while ago and made such a difference.
Also Ian is extremely clued up with the td5's, far more than one could imagine, so he could easily recommend a turbo from his range that would be perfect for the job!

Just a quick one...
Has anyone got the length of a salisbury prop for a defender 110 ( TD5 if it makes a difference)
And then has any one got the length of a defender p38 short nose diff prop for a 110 ( td5) ??
Need urgently as im collecting a new axle tomorrow and I need to know the prop I need!!
