Hi just bought a 2003 freelander petrol, it has quickly shown a couple of issues
1- Clutch nearly impossible to select reverse when warm without terrible grinding noise
all gears hard to engage
it feels like a clutch clearance problem but there is no adjustment anywhere
2- this is nuts
had a engine light come on read code lamda probe but it was missing popping in exhaust
so i replaced Spark plugs plug leads both coils
cleared code
This is the mad bit
if i start engine from cold i can drive 100 miles plus engine is on 4 cyclinders no miss firing perfect
if i stop for 1 to 5 minutes restart it will miss and pop in exhaust
you can feel miss upto 2750rpm when it then clears with a distinct kick that you feel
the temp gauge runs just under 9 oclock position so normal
it uses NO water
really need suggestions please
