  1. I have two fuel tanks(under seat). is there an easy effictive way to have a switchable fuel pump to get the fuel from either tank via a switch. Rather than the old brass tap and almost always having to use the primer pump to get presure back. (being Diesel) Thankyou.
  2. Is the instalation any easyer on the sailsbury rather than the rover type axel/diff? im told the sailsbury is stronger? is this a fair comment? i have the option of either, in 4.7 what will prove to be the better of the two...?
  3. Pegged diff? What is this? Thankyou..
  4. Has anyone ever fitted an ARB Air locker to a Sailsbury or Rover type Axle? If so Was it to 3.5 or 4.7 Diffs? Was or is there alot of work involved with this addition? was or is it worth while? Thankyou..
  5. I like the sound of the stronger option. Will the 3.54:1 gear it up too much for offroad use? or is there a gearbox option that will allow my to keep the 4.7 sailsbury rear, and standard rover 4.7 front? and keep the revs down on the motorway????? Bearing in mind Its the standard gearbox in a 1968 S2A that i have at the moment. Thankyou. p.s. What would a 4.7 sailsbury belong to????
  6. Very Helpful. thankyou. Im not sure im going to want to change a gearbox every 4 months.... just hope it will hold togeather with a whopping 70KW racing through it??
  7. The sailsbury i came across on a wreck i braught for parts. was a V8. 80/81 i believe.? from memory its 24 spline.. My S2A still has the rover type diffs and housings. will the rover housing take the Discovery diff head? is one stronger than the other?? Thankyou.....
  8. Ok, so i take it you just used the rover diff houseing and bolted the 3.5 straight in? Same axels? Thanks....
  9. Will Changing from 4.7 to 3.5 Cause to much stress on the S2A gearbox? For example, will a 1999 Discovery 3.5 Diff head bolt into a Salsbury Houseing? Will the Axels be Different? Any Help would Be Great............ Thankyou.
  10. Well the Landrover G/Box Bolts to the RD28 Via an Alloy Adaptor Plate. The RD28 FlyWheel has been Trimed to the same thickness as the Land Rover Flywheel. the Land Rover clutch cover bolts up with only the dowles needing to be repositioned. I would Think an RB26 Would make A Land Rover move at pace.............
  11. OH? Sorry. Nissan RD28. 6Cyl Diesel Engine from the Nissan Patrol/Safari The replacement of the older LD28.
