Most of my off road driving is done in the Kalahari (semi desert). I have to do a fair bit of dune climbing using existing roads(????) and with outside temperatures in the 40's. (Celcius) I want to remove the middle silencer box, mainly to prevent it snagging and damaging the rest of the system. Will this adversely affect the engine control system? Kind regards.

My 2013 Defender 2.2 110 is leaking diesel at valve exit that is at bottom(?) of the overflow pipe that comes from the filler. This valve can be seen in the wheel arch that is on the filler cap side. It only happens when tank is nearly full. Do I need to get valve replaced? What is the purpose of the valve? Any help will be appreciated.
