  1. Yeh think I've sourced a drum already to be honest. Just hunting for a prop near me otherwise it's gonna be a new one from somewhere
  2. Yeh I wish I had stopped too. I heard a nose but I thought it was just the prop falling of the side in the back of the cab. Hindsight is a wonderful thing Ey lol
  3. Oh and to top it off the drum for the handbrake has fallen off on the way home too!!! Excellent. More parts added to the list. Oh to own a Land Rover Ey!!
  4. Yeh I guessed the rear would be too long but it Says on the thread above that my rear one is 667 and a disco front one is 637. Was hoping I could catch a break somewhere with it to get it back on the road asap but i guess not. Not too keen on diff lock and front wheels only
  5. Thanks for that mate. Although from what I can tell a disco one would be 30mm too short then....pants!!! Best place to buy one from anyone?
  6. Ok so I have taken the rear prop off my defender 200 tdi and its knackered. Any idea if any props off a discovery will fit as I have access to one of them but not a defender. Thanks
  7. I noticed that if I pull the handbrake slightly it stops however I've had chance to jack it up properly and the rear uj is ****ed. Nightmare cuz I have nowhere to get it from today
  8. Although I'm confused as to why it goes when I dip the clutch. Aren't all of the shafts still spinning if the wheels are still turning? I don't know it's pickling my brain
  9. Sorry yeh would help wouldn't it. Won't be a heat shield that I know of mate it's a c reg 90 with a defender 200 tdi in it.
  10. Just wondering if anyone can help with this. I have a very strange and intermittent rattling sound coming from underneath somewhere that is driving me insane. At first I thought brake pads because it wasn't too bad. However today it was very loud and seemed to worsen as I accelerated and did it all the way home. Had a friend look underneath and say the ujs look or feel ok but there is a lot of oil on and around the transfer box with a lot of play in it too. Anyone have any ideas if this could cause the said noise? It does seem to disappear when I put the clutch in when driving and allow it to roll so to me that rules out brake pads or wheel bearings etc. Just can't figure out why it doesn't do it constantly For example on the way home from my mates house it did it about half way back and then just stopped again as if there is nothing wrong. Little bit desperate at the minute too as its my only mode of transport for a while
  11. It's only the ultra light duty one so not too expensive just not sure if the compressor would be up to the job
  12. Would a viair 10000 set up be a good setup to go for as a mate has one going cheap. I'm guessing it would be fine for air lockers but is it too small for the possibility of pumping tyres? I know it says that's not what it was intended for but just wondering if anyone has any experience of doing it.
  13. Great info there thanks!! My thinking was the possibility of it getting bashed about when off roading or a crash or something. Just thinking worse case scenario as I usually do I guess.
  14. Ok so I am thinking of fitting one of these to the rear of my 90. Now I know this will have been done to death I am still deciding on whether to just use the arb compressor and be done with it or go for a bigger tank and more on board air. My only concern being.....is it not dangerous to be mounting an air tank to the outside of the vehicle ie I have seen a few people mention near rear wheels....under driver doors ect. Any opinions on this? Cheers
