  1. Ive run the landy without the rear prop and the noise had dissaperd. I checked play in the ujs whilst i had it off there appears to be no exsesive wear just a tiny bit of play could this cause a noise like this? I also checked transferbox and diff for playand all apears to be ok
  2. Yes changed all oils i have spare halfshafts but im sure changing these would make no difference
  3. Good evening My landrover 90 has developed a noise at speeds of about 55mph+ .Coasting or on overrun it sounds like the noise is is comming from the rear end ive removed the pannel from the seat box above the transfer box and taken it for a run. It doesnt sound like its from the transfer box/ gearbox area. The wheel bearings feel ok with no play or rumble when jacked up. The noise is almost the sort of noise that an exhaust would make against the chassis(but it isnt). So i think it could be rear prop or diff. Has any one experienced anything like this before??? Can i remove rear prop and take for a run to rule out rear propshaft ?? Any advice would me much appreciated The landy has a 2" lift Many thanks Sam
