  1. Hey, i have an oil leak down the left hand side of my engine (as you look at it from the front) looking at it, the engine is a 200tdi engine, the leak looks like it might be from the oil cooler pipes, or that general oil filter area, i plan to rip apart the whole lot and replace every gasket and seal i can and was just wondering if anyone has a list of everything that could be replaced, just so i can order it all and get it done in one hit, or am i best buying a full bottom end gasket set, like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Land-Rover-Defender-200-TDi-Full-Bottom-End-Gasket-Set-STC1557-STC363-/320835188843?hash=item4ab344786b:g:MGUAAOSwDuJW1xOA

    thanks for any help

  2. Hey, I have a 1988 Landrover Defender 110 fitted with a 200tdi engine from a 1994 disco, the clutch pedal has gone very low and the bite is basically on the floor, to the point where it sometimes clunks going in to gear, checked the fluid and it was completely empty, topped it up and tried to bleed the system but nothing was coming out of the bleed nipple, is that sounding like it could be either the slave or master cylinder causing the problem? If either one could be the likely issue I will replace both of them :)

    Thanks for any advise

  3. Thanks for that info Chicken Drumstick! Exactly what I needed to know, and thank you everyone else for the advice, the seats will be used for adults and older kids, so I will probably fit seat belts too, in all honesty they won't be used a massive amount, but it's just nice to have the option if I can legally, thanks again!

  4. My defender currently only has the 3 front seats, I would like to stick a couple of inward facing seats in the back, I know that I will need to add in supports as the floor won't be strong enough, seat belts etc. But can I legally mount inward facing seats? I would guess so seeing as they come with bench seats? The vehicle in question is a 1988, thank you for any help and advice
