  1. Hi there, Thanks for your answers! Indeed I had a chat with Frida as well. My new engine progresses slowly but steady - it gets closer to the complementation :-) Cause I always dislike when interesting threads come to nothing I just fix the results / progress on my own questions briefly: Question 1: Are simple liners fine or should I use flanged liners? In which case are the more expensive flanged ones applied? -My contaced engien overhaulers definitly asked for flanged liners for different reasons. Anyway I found a better engine blok, so I am on +0,20 now. Question 2: Which brand should be taken? Are the PR2 liners fine or is there a reason for GOETZE ones? - not further investigated Regarding the pistons I learned that AE/ Nüral/ Federal Mogul is not longer available. By the way: Where ist the difference between the 2.5NA RTC6442 and 2.5TD RTC5993 ones? -Absolutely correct. Question 3: Is the price-range below 30£ healthy? Which brand ist recommendable? Britpart/Allmakes/Bearmach? What should I receive if I order OEM for ~60+£? - OEM for 60 quid is not available from any source, even if several shopsystems tell so. I did not feel comfortable with the noname, lowest price range, although Turner sells them. I decided for the AE TD pistons. Question 4: Which piston clearance should be targeted in the two different price classes? - no divergent info from the manual Question 5: Beside that I need a new camshaft - Again: which Brand to take? - no special hints Question 6: The running surface of the rear radial shaft seal of the crankshaft got slightly damaged by some rust - is there any clever repair stategy like SKF speedy sleeves / reduced diameter with special oversize radial shaft seal for this particular spot? - sleeves are possible, the rust on my shaft would have been polishable - there was another crankshaft with second engine in better condition.
