hi i have an lt77 gearbox off a v8 which is in good condition and an lt77 diesel gearbox that was on my 1989 110 and is no good, .does anyone know if it is possible to swap the input shaft and bell housing on the v8 gearbox for a shorter one so it will fit the 2.5 na diesel. i know the v8 input shaft on there has 22 teeth on the input gear and the diesel one has 21 teeth.online i have found an what looks like a shorter input shaft ftc 1428 with 22 teeth which i think will fit but i cant believe its that easy.will the gearing be messed up because the ratios may be different.has anyone ever done this conversion.thanks
