Well guys thanks for your responses , I found the cylinder, (as you can tell my ignorance is my most endearing trait) changed the clutch slave and the master cylinder, and now may gearbox works , Hurrah lovin my landy again

thx for the replies guys but that is not the figure i am looking for ,i think it is a 1 figure number. it is for an application for a vehicle registration 'carte grise' in France maybe it is not the actual HP but the number of the catergory i'm so confused

well just to update thanks for all the advice my plugs are all fine i re charged the battery and sprayed some* start all*in the air intake and it started first time cheers guys

hi all I am sorry for posting a question that has undoubtably been posted before but i have read through an awful lot of posts and have not come up with the correct one anyway.......my landy wont start the battery is ok although i now have it on charge, this morning I attempted to start her up, heated up the glow plugs for 30/45 secs then tried to turn her over the starter motor made all the correct noises (i think), but the engine would not start and eventually I drained the battery, is this likely to be a glow plug or a starter motor problem? by the way it is a 2.5n/a engine and my mechanical knowledge is limited, I would greatly appreciate some help? all the best Marc

hi all best wishes for the season someone told me that if you put your headlights on for 20 secinnds or so before you start your engine this has a positive effect on the battery and serves to warm it up aideing ignition ....... is there any truth in this or is it just waffle all the best marc

hello all I have just replaced my headlights to conform with driving in Europe, and I would like to know where I could obtain the chromed mounting ring that holds the light unit in place it has 3 lugs, mine has corroded. if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.......... thanks Marc

hi I am planning to cut a window in the left hand side of my 90 truckcab, to improve my visibility whilst driving in France. I have sourced a glass and rubber from a renault express, but I will have to cut into the lateral reinforcing bar in the truckcab. Can anyone give me any tips in this procedure, ( can I simply cut the hole with a jigsaw? ) all the best Marc
