Thanks for the replies! I will put it back on the dashboard to try at different hours. Or just wait to reconnect at the right time. Andy, I can feel the different click at various angles. But none locked the hour needle.

Hello! I own a 1998 300 Tdi Defender 90. The analog clock gauge adjusment knob is only moving the minute needle. It is an AMR3443. Any tip or instructions on how to repair this gauge? It seems impossible to open it without breaking. When connected to the battery it works. I just can't adjust the hour needle.
