  1. Agree - The quality of the finish was also dependent on how quickly I laid the fabrics on the spray adhesive.
  2. Just finished a DIY headliner replacement on a ‘95 110. Fabric from JoAnn’s, fir tree clips from eBay. Whole project cost about $100, and used the original liner base. A couple of things to consider when starting: - plastic line the back of the liner to avoid water sitting on the material - replace the interior light bulbs with LEDs whilst you’re at it - so much brighter - insulate the underside of the roof to avoid condensation build up (I used siless panels) - have a drink before installing the panels. Aligning the holes and the panels is painful but using a screw driver to get everything in alignment makes the job easier.
  3. All as suspected - the good news it was the handbrake! Now on to that oil leak(s)!
  4. Thanks for the feedback all - will let you know what I find
  5. I have a 300tdi '95 that runs great, changes well at all speeds but seems to have some sort of binding issue when pulling away (as if the axle/hand brake is locked). Seems to be fine once i reverse a couple of feet and then place back into 1st, and the issue only happens intermittently. In addition, when rolling to a stop (freewheeling) i can often feel the vehicle shudder to at stop a very low speeds (again almost feels as if something is binding up). Any similar experiences of this issue would be greatly appreciated or where to start!
